The Process
01 INITIAL PHONE CALL AND CONSULTATION
Each project begins with filling out our inquiry form. After we review your submitted form, we will schedule an initial phone call to discuss your project and to set up an appointment for an in-home consultation. During the in-home consultation, we will go over the expectations and visions for your space, our design process, design fees, and the letter of agreement.
02 SIGNING OF AGREEMENT, INITIAL DEPOSIT, AND PROJECT START
We will outline the scope of work for the entire project and estimated design hours in the letter of agreement. Once you're ready to move forward you will sign the letter of agreement and submit an initial deposit.
03 MEASUREMENTS, PHOTOS AND FINAL CRITERIA MEETING
We will schedule a day to come on-site to take measurements and photos of your space. We will also schedule any tradespeople needed to complete your project to come and give us a proposal. We will go over some inspiration pictures to set the tone and direction of the project and discuss how you want the space to perform in order to fit your lifestyle.
04 CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, SELECTIONS, AND PRICING
Now, we start the fun process - the design. We will develop concept boards, furnishing, and lighting plans and source and price each and every item. It will take us a couple of weeks to complete the design process. We will make sure to select items that will fit within your budget as well as reflect your design aesthetics.
05 PRESENTATION OF CONCEPT BOARDS, FURNISHINGS, AND MATERIALS
After we have carefully crafted your custom design plan, we will meet with you in your home to present all the details. This includes all drawings, mood board, color schemes, fabric samples, flooring, surface and furniture selections and budget breakdown including estimated costs for work by other trades. You will get a chance to review your proposed floor plans, view all the fabric, tile, and finish samples and make any changes to the design as needed.
If you decide to employ us to order, install, and style your project then you will move onto step 5. Otherwise, we will hand over all our concept boards and product specification lists to you and leave you in charge of the project.
06 PLACEMENT OF ORDERS
Up to this point, you have only paid for the hours it took to create the design plan. Once you sign off on the plan we will collect the payment for all the materials and furnishings that need to be ordered. We will create all purchase orders, review delivery times, note any back-orders or discontinued items that may delay the project, and make a decision on whether or not to reselect those items.
07 INITIATION OF CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION
During the construction and renovation phase, we will collaborate with builders and contractors in charge of the project. We will also make regular site visits to visit the project and make sure the design plan and details are followed through.
08 INSTALLATION, STYLING AND CLIENT REVEAL
This is the big day where we install all your furniture and style and accessorize your space to perfection. Once the room is installed and accessorized we will walk through the finished space with you to make sure you are fully satisfied with your new space. We will also schedule a time to photograph the space for our portfolio.
09 CLIENT CLOSURE MEETING
We will meet one final time to close out the project and present you with any outstanding invoices. During this meeting, we will address any concerns you might have and further make sure we have met all your design requirements and expectations.
